Trump and the virus

Since I’m social distancing and because I’m 78 with COPD and because there are no live sports I find myself watching a lot of “virus” TV. I’m current with the virus updates and actions taken by our political leaders at all levels. And I switch around all the media outlets-cable, local and national networks, Facebook, YouTube and Tweeter. My sense is this virus is real, dangerous and a lot of it’s behavior is unknown. There are enough critics on all sides to point out how this country got caught with it’s pants down. But now we should be reacting like we did during the two attacks in the past-Pearl Harbor and 911. We stumbled in the beginning of both attacks but then gained our footing, unified and got to work.  Because of where we find ourselves we need a President like Roosevelt or Bush. But we have Trump.

Trump and the virus

Anybody who has watched the development of the virus worldwide can remember the precise time our President suddenly “found Jesus”-two days ago March 15. Before that he described it as a Democratic and media hoax, a Chinese effort to destabilize us and a number of other conspiracies including some incredibly naive predictions. And his faithful sycophants, loyal Fox personalities and Rush bellowed Trump’s falsities. When will we realize this man is a real danger to this country?   His disingenuous comments and revisionist statements these past two days are incredible. He has no shame and- for the world -I cannot understand how people of good sense can’t see though this megalomaniacal narcissistic behavior.
